Our patterns of corporate worship are shaped to seek and glorify God and encourage, equip and empower us in his mission.

The gathered church is the “powerhouse” that resources us in mission and is the place of inspiration and refreshment. This means we seek to ensure the following emphases are present through the ministry of Word and Spirit when we come together to worship as a gathered community: prayer teams, crèche and children’s groups are available at all of our morning services. unless otherwise stated.

Morning Services

08:00 Holy Communion
A more traditional and reflective service on the first and third Sundays of the month.

10:30 Morning Worship / Holy Communion
Morning Worship (first and third Sunday) is an informal service with bible teaching and response, space for testimony and sharing as well as more extended worship and prayer.
Our Communion Services (second and fourth Sunday) are more informal in style with bible teaching and space for response with contemporary style worship and prayer.

Special Services (or occasional Baptisms*)

Celebration services usually include a guest speaker and often take place on the fifth Sunday. Our baptism services are all-age and a place of welcome to those who are making a commitment in their journey of faith be that individually or on behalf of their children. Baptisms by immersion take place in the church field.

7:30 Be Still
Fourth Sunday – Be Still is an hour of space of contemplative prayer and reflection in a candle-lit church.

At the end of almost every service at St. Michael’s there is an opportunity for you to receive prayer for any need; physical, emotional or spiritual. We do this in obedience to Jesus’ command to his followers as an expression of our love. Our aim is to follow the example of Jesus who laid hands on people to heal them and to bless them.

At the end of the service the leader will often share “words of knowledge” that we believe God has given to encourage people to respond to Him. They may indicate a need or situation. We invite anyone to come and receive prayer ministry whether in response to these words or not. Your prayer request does not have to be for anything major, we are happy to pray with you concerning any need, large or small.
You do not necessarily have to pray or do anything yourself, only be open to God to allow Him to work in your life. During the prayer time there will be times of quiet while we wait on God. Please try and rest in God’s presence during these times. Anything you share will be kept in strict confidence.
The Prayer Ministry Team members will always treat you with respect and if at any point you wish them to stop simply say so and you are free to walk away. If after receiving prayer ministry you feel God has touched you in anyway please let the team members know. If you want further prayer ministry please feel free to come forward on another occasion.
