Our week-time prayer meetings last for roughly half an hour, and are at different times to allow a broad-base of the congregation an opportunity to connect.

Their specific prayer focuses mean that members of the church can pray in unity of heart and purpose even if they cannot physically be at a meeting. We hope that feedback from each meeting will provide material for a renewed prayer newsletter in the weekly notices.

Prayer in the Week

Monday – Friday 12:30 – 11am: Warwick Room, St Michael’s Centre.
A member of the prayer ministry will follow the daily rhythm of prayer, praying in users of the centre.  Please feel free to join us.

Monday 10am: Staff Worship & Prayer
We gather as a staff team to worship and pray together. All are welcome to join us – the prayer meeting lasts roughly 45 minutes.

Wednesday 9am: Chase Meadow Prayers at the Vicarage

Thursday 7:30am: Cafe prayers at the Open Door Cafe

Thursday 7:30pm House of Prayer (Hampton on the Hill)

Friday 7:30am: Prayers at Costa

Friday 7:00pm House of Prayer (Chase Meadow)

These prayer times have an outward focus praying for our communities and the mission of St Michael’s. We pray that God will bless our communities and people will come to faith in Jesus and grow as his followers.

We pray for needs in the community and at the Open Door,  for any needs that might have been shared through prayer cards in the cafe. We pray that the whole church would be equipped and empowered for mission and that Jesus will be made known through the relationships we have. We pray for the activities / ministry of the church.

Please check the church calendar to confirm meeting and venue.

St Michael’s hosts a Half Night of Prayer each term, giving the opportunity for the whole church to gather and pray for significant matters in the life of the church and its mission. It is an opportunity to seek God, and to pray for his work amongst us. We feel it is important to establish a rhythm of prayer as the underpinning to all that we do.

The timings and settings vary from meeting to meeting depending on our emphasis, and they are usually based at St Michael’s, with opportunities to pray in other key places in the parish (e.g. Chase Meadow and The Open Door).
